Dergwise searches a triangular open-water mesh plus a finer spine along the current Waterways Ireland route. It avoids mapped land and adds a cost around mapped shallow areas. Older red and green marks remain reference guardrails rather than waypoints. This helps make a plausible planning line, not a safe course to steer.

This version uses fixed, visible rules. Boat, paddling, swimming and fishing ideas are ranked by proximity, likely activity duration, forecast wind and rain, nearby official notices, public-access wording, booking wording and available monitoring information.
Boat and paddling distances are direct range only and never imply navigable water or safe passage. Swimming and fishing distances are straight-line proximity, not road or shoreline routes. Foot, bicycle and car suggestions remain paused until proper routing is available. Always check the linked source, local signs, operator advice and official safety information.
A later optional chat layer may refine eligible results, but it will not be allowed to reinstate anything excluded by access, safety or navigation rules.
